Celebrating our Postcode Lottery award!



We're delighted to have been awarded funds raised by players of the People's Postcode Lottery. This will help us secure the running of the baby bank - our property and staff costs - for half a year.


If any of you know about fundraising you’ll know how important funding for core costs is. We’re a small organisation with committed volunteers and only two part time staff who are absolutely essential to what we do. They liaise with referrers, work with families, match families to the items they need, organise volunteers, run corporate volunteer days, order stock and promote the work of the baby bank in so many ways. We can’t really count the ways they help local families and contribute to the work of the Hackney Children & Baby Bank. Thanks to Jane and Anni for all you do. We get so much positive feedback about how you and the volunteers are so efficient, hardworking and compassionate.


We’re grateful to everyone who contributes to our work - staff, volunteers, trustees and donors. Regular donations of small amounts, one-off corporate donations, grant funding…they’re all essential to keeping this service going and we’re working hard behind the scenes to keep fundraising.


If anyone wants to nominate us as a charity to support at work, run a race to raise funds, set up a direct debit or support us financially in any way, we’d love to hear from you. In the meantime we'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributes to the @peoplespostcodelottery so that we could receive this fund. We can promise you we use all our funds wisely and well!
